All
students will be tested throughout the course of your studies. Exams may
consist of 50 - 200 questions depending upon the program your are enrolled in.
Your program information will outline the exams you will find in your program.
Most Exams at Flatline Response are computer based exams and you will receive
your mark immediately upon completion of your exam. You will be
allowed to review the exam once you have completed and scored your exam.
THIS IS A PRIVILEGE.
You must achieve the
required mark for each exam in order to proceed to the next domain or semester.
Students who are not able to achieve a passing grade will not be eligible to
continue on with program and will not be entitled to a refund for the balance of
their program.

EMS TESTING PROTOCOLS

All Exams are proctored
and testing room is under video and audio surveillance
-
Exam proctors may not be trained in
the same discipline as the student
-
All exams dates and times are
pre-scheduled - Please check the website for exam dates and times for your
program
-
All rewrite exams are scheduled for
either 10:00 am. or 6:00 pm
-
Exam rewrites
will not be scheduled on a weekend
-
Exam seating is arranged by exam
proctors
-
All personal belongings must be
left with exam proctors - this includes all electronic equipment, cell phones,
pdas, backpacks, coats, etc.
-
Pens & pencils will be provided by
exam proctor if required
-
Students cannot take notes or
papers from the exam room - these must be given to the exam Proctor
-
Students may not leave the room
during an examination or you will forfeit the exam
-
Students may not talk during an
examination
-
You may not ask for assistance,
clarification , or interpretation of any exam question
-
Students are responsible for
checking their answers for accuracy prior to grading the exam
-
Computer exams will be graded by
the computer immediately
-
Written exams will be graded once
all students have completed the exam and results will be emailed or handed
out by instructor
-
Computer examinations are available for
review only at the time of exam writing
-
Written examinations will only be
available for review on the day immediately following the exam write
-
Software or hardware issues must be
referred to the Proctor immediately, do no attempt to restart an exam or
reboot the computer.
Upon Completion of
Exam
-
All computer exams
must be left open on the computer for proctor
verification
-
Shutting down your exam before
verification will result in a grade of "0"
-
Exit the room quietly and maintain
quiet will in the testing area
-
Notify proctor of completion
-
Computer Exam - Enter grade in your binder -
Proctor will verify grade
-
You may not return to the testing
room while others are still writing
Violation of the above exam protocols may result in termination from your
program.
Exam Question
Review
You may request an Exam Question
Review by the Exam Committee as follows:
-
The review may only be initiated at
the writing of the exam
-
An exam question review may not be
initiated if exam has been closed or student has left the campus
-
Request an "EXAM Question Review
Form" - Form A-1 from the proctor
-
You
may not discuss this question prior to initiating the Exam Question Review
-
Return to the exam room once all
others have completed and left the room
-
Fill in all required information
-
Proctor must review the exam
question on the computer and information on Form A-1
-
Both Student and Proctor must sign
the Form A-1
-
Fee of $15.00 must be attached to
Form A-1
-
Your mark must be entered into your
binder
-
Form A-1 will be submitted to the
Exam Committee for review
-
You will be notified of results
-
You will be required to book and/or
write a re-write exam while waiting for your results
Exam Attendance
-
Attendance at all exams is
mandatory
-
If you do not attend an exam you
will automatically be awarded a grade of "0"
-
You may book an exam proctor to
make up an exam at a fee of $75.00 per hour (minimum 2 hrs) - This must be
approved in writing by the Registrars Office.
Then Registrars
office will schedule the time for the make-up exam. Students will only
be allowed to use this option once during their course of study.
Once you have
registered into a program your will receive the Student Handbook. The "Honor Code" found in your
student handbook, which is found on your program CD received
with your training materials. Your handbook outlines the basic expectations of all students. Please read
both the Honor Code and the Fundamental Standards of Conduct.
