 Registration Admin Position

 

We are looking for an outgoing individual to can act as primary contact for new and existing clients, while promoting programs and services.

 

Duties are varied and diverse from supporting the management team to the day-to-day operations of the training centre.

 

Expectations

 

This is a small,  fast-paced environment and listed below are some of the responsibilities of the work environment.  Attention to detail, tight deadlines and the ability to work under pressure are a necessity in this position.  This is a key-holder position and Reliability and Responsibility are paramount.

  • Compile, verify, record and process registrations, maintain training database
  • General reception duties - multiline phone, greeting & signing in students
  • Prepare, manage and disseminate requisitions, forms and documents
  • Send invoices, receive payments, post entries, update and retrieve financial data
  • Organize and schedule courses and  instructors
  • Setting up classroom rooms, organize equipment and training materials
  • Provide information to the general public, staff and management
  • General Office Duties - (brief overview):
    • receiving, sorting and distributing mail;
    • organizing, filing and photocopying;
    • typing & data entry;
    • communications - faxes, emails, telephones, written correspondence
    •  
    • Coffee, plants, general office  

You must be lively, organized and self disciplined, a self-starter who is motivated to work in a fast paced environment.

First Aid/Safety Instructor

 

We are currently seeking part time and full time First Aid/CPR InstructorsThis position requires candidate to hold a First Aid Instructor Certificate - We will transition an instructor holding First Aid Certificate from other agency, or bring an instructor current whose Instructor certificate has expired.

 

This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to teach First Aid/CPR, Safety & Preparedness courses. Full time position includes a blend of  Instruction and administration/clerical duties.  Part time Instructors must be available to teach a minimum of two consecutive days per week (Monday – Sunday)  

 

Qualifications:  Instructional

  • Good presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities an asset
  • Competent in effective delivery of practical knowledge in community health care in a variety of settings - classroom, work-site, telecommunication/distance learning. 
  • Teaches in an interactive manner 
  • Implements adult learning strategies.
  • Displays initiative and adherence to corporate core values in recruiting, organizing, conducting and record keeping.
  • Communicates well with a variety of community/client populations.
  • Knowledge of education and industry/safety standards.
  • Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive data at all times
  • Adheres to organizational and department specific safety standards and guidelines
  • Works collaboratively and supports efforts of team members
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with students, clients, visitors, staff and the broader health care community

Core Responsibilities:

  • Classroom & equipment maintenance

  • Teaches identified curriculum for CPR, First Aid and PAD programs

  • Competency testing of students

  • Assist in recruitment and student registration process

  • Classroom preparation and management

Administrative/Clerical

  • Setting up classroom rooms, organizing equipment and training materials
  • Internal and external communication
  • Provide course information to potential students
  • Assist with telephone and student registration
  • General office duties

The primary function of this position is to ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers in store

Job Requirements:


•  Work 20 -30  hours per week

 

You will have direct contact with our customers. Neatness in personal appearance and the ability to establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient and professional service is a must.


•    Must be willing to learn about new products, be able to describe a product’s features and demonstrate its use. Explain the features of

     various models and provide information about warranties, etc.
•    Must ensure that merchandise is stocked and displayed.
•    Must be able to operate a cash register, receive payments.
•    Must be fluent in English both verbally and written.
•    Must have at least one year experience as retail shop clerk.
•    Must assist with deliveries and move boxes up to 40 lbs.
•    Must be willing to perform other tasks as assigned.
•    Must be able to work on your feet (stand or walk) for assigned work shifts.
•    Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
